Bank of England interest-rate change
On the 4th of December 2008, the Bank of England again reduced their interest rate (often referred to as the 'base rate'), to the lowest level since November 1951.
But, what does that mean for customers?
What About Money? is brought to you by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), we're not selling anything. So all our information is impartial.
This site is aimed at 16-24 year olds, to help you better understand money issues. It is part of our National Strategy for Financial Capability, which aims to improve the financial capability of consumers in the UK.
What About Money? is still in its early stages as a website. We plan to cover a wider range of money matters in the future, and offer new ways to interact with the site.
