Paying your benefits or salary onto prepaid cards
Some prepaid card providers have been advertising the benefits of having your salary or state benefits paid onto them. But the charges can be high - make sure you understand the costs and the alternatives.
What About Money? is brought to you by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). We're not selling anything, so all our information is impartial.
This site is aimed at 16-24 year olds, to help you better understand money issues. It is part of our National Strategy for Financial Capability, which aims to improve the ability of consumers in the UK to manage their money.
What About Money? is still in its early stages as a website. We plan to cover a wider range of money matters in the future, and offer new ways to interact with the site. We'd very much like to hear any suggestions on how the site could be improved. Please contact us at ya.website@fsa.gov.uk (Opens up your default mail client, eg.Outlook)
